About Sheila
I’m Sheila Wee, a Singaporean storyteller who has been living and breathing the oral tradition since 1998. As a driving force behind the revival of oral storytelling in Singapore, I’ve spent over two decades helping others unlock the power of story — to teach, to inspire, and to connect.
Through my work with STORYWISE, I design and deliver storytelling programmes across a broad spectrum of audiences — from playful story-based learning in preschools, to cultural storytelling in museums and heritage spaces, to workshops on storytelling for influence for corporate teams, government departments, and learning institutions.
I am also a founding director of the Federation of Asian Storytellers (FEAST), through which I mentor storytellers and help foster a vibrant storytelling community across the region.
My storytelling journey has taken me from Singapore to twelve countries across Asia, Europe, and the Pacific — including Australia, India, South Korea, and the UK — but no matter where I go, I remain guided by one core belief: stories connect us.
